The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant, ensuring product quality, team member development, customer satisfaction, restaurant profitability, and assimilation into the Jersey Mike’s Subs culture.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee operations within the restaurant
- Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
- Monitor and facilitates sales and profit performance of the restaurant.
- Trains, coaches, and counsels team members; facilitates development of restaurant personnel
- Manage customer complaints to build brand loyalty
- Manage new hires and changes of status for restaurant team members to ensure accurate and timely payroll and record-keeping
- Coordinate all market activities for the restaurant to increase sales
- Maintains professional restaurant and team member image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Upholds safety and security standards at all times; uses training to reinforce standards
- Hires, supervises, develops, and when necessary, terminates restaurant team members
Requirements:
- Work Experience: Successful track record in managment position in fast casual or quick food service restaurant
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; ability to successfully perform all job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
- 18 years of age
- Must be able to work long hours, scheduled or unscheduled including nights, weekends, and when emergencies arise
- Able to perform all functions at the restaurant level
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive hand and wrist motion
- Work in various temperatures, work with hot equipment, cold equipment, and hazardous equipment
- Work with phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment
