Maintenance Technician Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel for work (mostly day trips; occasional overnight trips may be required).
- Willing to obtain a flagger’s license if needed.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED required (higher education is a plus).
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, masonry, or related construction work is preferred.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate machinery (e.g., skid steers, loaders, etc.).
- Able to lift heavy objects as part of the job.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Able to work on uneven or wet terrain.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintaining the grounds (e.g., weed-eating, brush clearing).
- Keep facilities and grounds in good working condition, following MSHA, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine service and maintenance on vehicles.
- Assist with general labor tasks in mining operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance installation and repair.
- Construction experience or background in building maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and effectively in various environments.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward resolving issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
