- Previous hotel engineering or commercial building maintenance experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, pool systems, and general building maintenance.
- Experience with preventive maintenance (PM) programs , including scheduled equipment maintenance and documentation.
- Experience maintaining hotel grounds and exterior areas , including landscaping, walkways, parking lots, pool decks, and overall curb appeal.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work safely indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as business needs require.

The Seahorse Oceanfront Inn is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain both the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn and the Lemon Bar.
This is a shared-property position, with approximately 70% of the role supporting Lemon Bar and 30% supporting the hotel. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining both the buildings and the surrounding grounds, ensuring every area is clean, safe, functional, and guest-ready.
This is not a desk position. The majority of the workday will be spent performing repairs, preventive maintenance, property upkeep, and grounds maintenance both indoors and outdoors.
- Respond to guest and operational maintenance requests within 30 minutes, prioritizing emergency calls, HVAC issues, and essential Lemon Bar equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment, pool equipment, appliances, and general building systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building equipment while supporting to maintain accurate documentation and maintenance logs.
- Maintain the grounds and exterior appearance of both properties, including landscaping, walkways, parking areas, pool areas, outdoor lighting, fencing, trash enclosures, and other guest-facing spaces.
- Assist with the daily setup of Lemon Bar to ensure the property is operational and guest-ready.
- Perform painting, staining, drywall repairs, carpentry, tile work, and general building repairs.
- Follow all company policies and comply with local, county, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of both properties.
