Responsibilities
Assist experienced technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems.
Support troubleshooting efforts by helping diagnose issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
Learn to read and interpret schematics and HVAC design plans to aid in system setup and repairs.
Participate in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and building automation systems to ensure optimal operation.
Handle basic hand tools and electrical systems safely under supervision while gaining confidence in mechanical systems repair.
Assist with customer service by communicating effectively with clients during service visits and explaining work performed.
Support the team in maintaining accurate records of service activities, system inspections, and repairs for compliance and quality assurance.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old with a strong interest in HVAC technology and property maintenance.
Construction experience or previous hands-on work in mechanical or electrical fields is highly desirable.
Basic knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration is a plus.
Familiarity with hand tools, electrical systems, boiler operation, and building automation systems will set you apart.
Possess or be willing to obtain EPA certification for refrigerant handling; ongoing training will be provided if needed.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service are essential for success in this role.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites.
