Job Summary
The Porter at Cedar Lakes Estate is an efficient, hard-working, and detail-oriented team member. They are responsible for making sure the kitchen is clean, organized, and up to code. The Porter must execute all cleaning duties to ensure a quick and successful event night for the Back-of-House and Front-of-House departments.
Responsibilities
- Washing of all pots and dishes and placed in their correct home
- Removal of all trash and delivery boxes
- Wash, dry, and fold towels
- Sweep and mop walk in fridge, kitchen (including Barn Kitchen), and basement
- Frequently check and re-fill paper towel and soap dispensers
- Ensure dishwasher is clean at all times; delime twice a month
- Ensures the upkeep and cleanliness of the following items and spaces:
- Food cart
- Garbage cart
- Back deck
- Basement bathroom
- Fryer
- Kitchen mats
- Drains
- All walls, including all doors
- Hood
- Grease trap
Qualifications
- Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor, or Custodian
- Solid verbal communication skills to interact with all department team members
- Ability to bend, squat, and life up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Consistently punctual
- Availability to work in shifts and flexible schedule (i.e., weekends, holidays, and evenings)
- Team player and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done perfectly
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
