We are seeking a skilled Handyman and Carpenter to join our team in Corona. In this role, you will help homeowners and local businesses maintain, repair, and improve their properties. This is a full-time or part-time, W-2 position that offers the independence of field work combined with the support and stability of a locally owned company backed by a national brand, Ace Hardware.
If you enjoy variety in your work, taking ownership of projects from start to finish, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, this role is designed for you. We provide steady, year-round work with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, meaning your weekends remain completely your own.
We believe in rewarding craftsmanship and reliability. We offer a supportive work environment with competitive compensation and room for professional growth.
Hourly Pay: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekend work required.
Bonuses: Performance-based incentive programs.
Allowances: Vehicle and tool allowances to support your daily operations.
Benefits: Paid holidays and clear pathways for career advancement.
Employment Status: W-2 employment, providing stability, legal protections, and consistent payroll.
On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to residential and commercial properties throughout the area to complete a variety of mid-sized repair and improvement projects. You will assess the scope of work, talk through the process with the customer, and complete the tasks safely and efficiently.
In the short term, success means arriving on time, keeping your tools and workspace organized, and completing jobs like drywall repairs, trim carpentry, or light fixture replacements to a high standard. You will also look out for other potential maintenance issues on the property, letting customers know how we can help them resolve those issues before they turn into larger problems.
Over time, success means building lasting relationships with our clients, earning their trust, and becoming a go-to specialist on our team. As you demonstrate consistent craft quality and reliable customer service, there will be direct opportunities to take on more responsibility and advance your career within the company.
We look for practical experience and a strong work ethic over formal credentials. To ensure success in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in home maintenance, carpentry, or residential remodeling.
Solid, practical knowledge across multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
Your own reliable work vehicle (truck or van) suitable for carrying tools and materials.
A reliable set of hand and power tools for everyday repair tasks.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to find practical solutions when unexpected issues arise on a job site.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain repair options clearly to homeowners and property managers.
We take pride in our work and care about the people who do it. If you are looking for a reliable, full-time position where your skills are respected and your weekends are respected too, we would love to talk to you.
