American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a night shift position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure.

Work in the NICU of a hospital setting
-
Care for a neonatal patient population
-
Uses EPIC EMR for charting
-
Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
Weekend requirement of 5 shifts per 6-week schedule
-
Holiday coverage required per rotation
-
Active Illinois RN license in good standing
-
Current BLS and NRP certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience

ASN required, BSN preferred

EPIC charting experience required
-
Monitor intake and output for assigned neonatal patients
-
Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
-
Administer medications using proper bar code scanning procedures
-
Report on patient assignments during multidisciplinary rounds
-
Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care

Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
