Duties
- Safely commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Load, unload, and secure medical shipments using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
- Plan and follow efficient route driving schedules to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas
- Move medical supplies within facilities using proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and shipment records for compliance and tracking purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients upon delivery and addressing any questions or concerns
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to weight handling in the workplace, manual transmission operation, and moving heavy loads safely
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to commercial driving
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads regularly while following safe lifting practices
- Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and punctuality
