Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of preschool and toddler-aged children, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods when applicable
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, creativity, and social interaction among children
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and consistent routines
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships
- Ensure safety and well-being by adhering to all mandated reporting laws, health protocols, and first aid/CPR procedures
- Support children’s individual needs through specialized interventions such as early intervention strategies or special education accommodations
- Maintain accurate records of child development milestones, attendance, assessments, and lesson plans to support ongoing evaluation and reporting
Skills
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with classroom management expertise
- Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood welfare
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive social skills and emotional regulation
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience with standardized testing or assessments is a plus
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or experience teaching physical education enhances your versatility as an educator
