Fund Developer – The Child Crisis Center of El Paso Employment Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Executive Director
Travel: Local travel required (35%–50%)
Position Summary
The Fund Developer serves as a key member of the Child Crisis Center of El Paso leadership support team and plays an essential role in advancing the organization’s fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives that support the center’s mission, programs, and long-term sustainability.
The Fund Developer manages donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, coordinates fundraising campaigns and events, assists with grant and funding research, develops community partnerships, and supports donor communications and recognition efforts. This role also oversees the organization’s social media and community engagement strategies to increase visibility, strengthen community relationships, and grow donor support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing annual fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Research and identify funding opportunities including grants and sponsorships.
- Coordinate fundraising events and donor appreciation activities.
- Manage donor acknowledgements and donor stewardship efforts.
- Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising activity reports.
- Manage social media and community engagement efforts.
- Represent the organization at community outreach and networking events.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and fundraising updates for leadership.
- Support long-term donor development and community partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field.
- 1–3 years of professional or volunteer experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, communications, marketing, or community engagement preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Experience with Canva, Social Media Platforms, and donor database systems preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands
This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 15 pounds, and assisting with event setup and breakdown.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional community outreach and event participation.
