Fast growing Jersey Shore restaurant seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our recipes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces).
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times.
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
- Assist with cleaning duties and closing procedures as assigned.
- Follow directions from the Chefs and kitchen management.
Qualifications:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role.
- Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Culinary training is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
