Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, supervision, and attention to the pets in our care
- Feed, water, exercise, and monitor pets according to their individual needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a healthy environment
- Monitor the health and well-being of pets and report any concerns to the supervisor or business owner
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trims
- Administer medications as directed by the owner
-Answer phones, schedule reservations, and assist with pet check-ins/check-outs
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, including answering questions and addressing concerns
What we are looking for:
-Reliable, dependable, and motivated team player
-Comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments, including reactive or special-needs dogs
-Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
-Ability to stay calm, patient, and attentive in a fast-paced environment
-Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and cleaning
- Previous experience in pet care or related field such as pet grooming, veterinary assistant, or dog training is preferred, but not necessary
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques preferred, but will train
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with pet owners and team members
- Willingness to learn and follow all safety protocols related to animal handling and sanitation procedures
Schedule and Availability
-Set weekly schedule:
(Mon & Fri) 7-11 and 2-530
(Wed) 2-530
(Sat) 7-10 and 2-5
(Sun) 7-930 and 2-530
-Must be available Monday-Sunday, including holidays
-Split shifts: morning and afternoon with a 3-4 hour break between shifts
-Local to aiken area.
