Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our cold storage warehouse team. This position involves operating high-lift forklifts in sub-freezing temperatures to load and unload pallets from truck trailers and move goods efficiently within the facility. Ideal candidates will have previous forklift experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to grow into high-reach truck operation with opportunities for increased pay based on skill progression.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-lift forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload pallets from truck trailers
- Transport goods throughout the warehouse, placing items in designated cold storage areas
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures, especially in sub-freezing conditions
- Use hand scanners for product tracking and inventory control
- Assist with inventory management and ensure product accuracy and integrity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Learn and eventually operate high-reach trucks as part of your development
Experience
- Prior experience operating high-lift forklifts in a warehouse or cold storage environment is required
- Comfortable working in sub-freezing temperatures (cold weather gear provided)
- Willingness to learn high-reach truck operation and take on new responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Experience using RF or hand scanners is a plus
