Anderson Industrial Contracting is a well-established structural steel fabrication and industrial contractor with over 50 years of experience serving construction, industrial and DOT customers. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet safety standards, quality specifications, and industry codes. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) to join metal components accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and fitting parts using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety regulations
- Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to measure and verify dimensions during fabrication and assembly processes
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety regulations related to power tool safety, rigging, and construction site protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, SMAW welding
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, construction plans, and blueprints
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and piping systems
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, power tools, and other mechanical equipment safely
- Construction site experience with an understanding of rigging, scaffolding, and safety regulations
