POSITION / OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
- We are seeking an entry-level Test & Evaluation Lab Technician I to support electrical and electronic testing activities for advanced aerospace systems.
- This position supports laboratory testing, system integration, fabrication, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical and electronic equipment in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- The ideal candidate will assist engineers and senior technicians by assembling test systems, conducting routine testing, documenting results, and supporting laboratory operations while working under close supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the design, fabrication, procurement, and assembly of test fixtures, components, and laboratory test systems.
- Support system integration, laboratory setup, checkout, testing, and post-test teardown activities.
- Obtain and interpret engineering drawings, Boeing specifications, technical documents, and sketches using online computer systems.
- Perform electrical measurements using general test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other electronic test instruments.
- Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and assist in resolving electrical system issues when results fall outside engineering specifications.
- Install, remove, modify, and repair experimental or production aircraft wiring using standard mechanical and electrical hand tools.
- Perform wiring changes and repairs in accordance with engineering specifications, non-conformance reports, and Boeing requirements.
- Assist in developing troubleshooting methods and procedures to diagnose electrical and electronic system malfunctions.
- Analyze routine test data and accurately document results.
- Troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment and test-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment while following company safety procedures.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Basic understanding of electrical theory, including Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Current Law, Faraday's Law of Induction, and series/parallel circuit calculations.
- Experience operating electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and related instruments.
- Knowledge of aircraft or industrial electrical wiring practices, including routing, clamping, tying, terminating, and connecting wire bundles.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using wiring diagrams and schematics to identify faulty components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use common electrical and mechanical hand tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a laboratory environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment 10-year Criminal Background Check, and standard FAA DOT drug test.
- Proof of U.S citizenship required.
- Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, electronics, or laboratory testing environments.
- Aircraft electrical wiring installation or modification experience.
- Familiarity with Boeing engineering documentation and specifications.
- Experience performing electrical troubleshooting and system validation.
- Military aviation electrical/electronic maintenance experience is a plus.
- Experience working in engineering, research & development, or test laboratory environments.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
