About us
We work directly with a General Contractor that performs restoration work for an insurance program, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restoration Estimator. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a property insurance adjuster, and well versed in identifying all peril types for interior and exterior damage. This role travels weekly, as well as time spent in your home market writing estimates for insurance claim projects.
This role requires:
Insurance/Restoration estimating experience and travel to job sites out of state. Insurance industry knowledge, and XACTIMATE software experience needed.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the insurance industry, restoration and estimating processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Compensation includes base pay and commissions/bonus opportunities.
Ability to inspect all roofing types on single and multiple story buildings.
Must possess driver's license with REAL I.D. travel endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Generate reports for insurance adjusters, including a photo sheet showing on site conditions, a sketch of the affected area(s) using Xactimate, and an estimate written in Xactimate.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters
- Coordinate with department lead, operations managers, project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Travel to and from job sites in multiple states.
- Effectively communicate with personnel in the estimating department.
- Attend department and company wide meetings in person and virtually.
- Review and assess onsite conditions effectively.
- Utilize time management skills.
- Manage project documentation using company software for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
Experience
- Estimating using Xactimate software.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, including Xactimate estimating software, photo reports, use of standard onsite tools such as moisture meters, digital/laser tape measures, and Drone Operation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiarity with restoration practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 base compensation per year depending on experience + commission/bonus opportunities.
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
