Role Overview
Key Responsibilities & Leadership
Advanced Diagnostics: Lead complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting across automated converting and packaging lines to eliminate downtime.
Machining & Fabrication: Expertly operate shop tools (lathes, drill presses, grinders) and welding equipment to fabricate, modify, and restore custom machine parts.
Controls & Schematics: Read and interpret electrical diagrams, ladder logic, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics for root-cause analysis and system repairs.
Installations & Upgrades: Lead the setup, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment and major machine overhauls.
Mentorship: Serve as the shift technical authority—training junior mechanics on best practices, machine setups, and safety protocols.
Operations Support: Manage spare parts inventory, order critical components, consult with equipment vendors, and log work orders in the CMMS.
Safety & Standards: Maintain a zero-compromise safety environment and proactively identify ways to optimize machinery performance.
What You Bring
Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing or packaging environments.
Technical Mastery: strong working knowledge of mechanical drives, PLCs, electrical controls, pneumatics, and metal fabrication.
Leadership: Excellent communication skills with a track record of mentoring team members and solving problems independently under production deadlines.

Responsibilities
System & Equipment Support: Assist senior staff with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
Maintenance Tasks: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (lubrication, filter changes, component replacements).
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Dismantle defective machines using handheld/pneumatic tools, visually locate damaged components, and install/repair electrical parts.
Machining & Welding: Set up and operate metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) to fabricate/repair parts. Use cutting torches and welding equipment.
Equipment Operation & Schematics: Read blueprints, ladder logic, and schematics to solve issues. Utilize control systems to test and properly shut down machinery.
Installation & Inventory: Assist with setting up new equipment, order/requisition replacement parts, manage spare parts inventory, and consult with vendors.
Safety & Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records (work orders, manuals) and strictly adhere to safety protocols.
