The ideal candidate will be student centered, collaborative, and passionate about supporting all learners. Applicants should demonstrate strong instructional practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff and actively participate in school programs and activities both inside and outside the classroom.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans to provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt to the curriculum student needs and goals.
Create a positive and engaging leaning environment that supports student growth and achievement.
Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote measurable student growth.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress toward IEP goals.
Teach and mentor students in whole class, small group, and one-on-one settings.
Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings.
Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff to help students succeed.
