About Us
Glasscorp is one of the Lowcountry's leading commercial glazing and storefront contractors. We fabricate and supply aluminum storefront systems, entrances, curtain wall, windows, glass railings, and specialty glazing systems for commercial projects throughout the Southeast.
We're looking for a Fabrication Team Leader who takes pride in producing quality work, enjoys developing people, and can keep production running efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication shop.
This is a hands-on leadership position—you'll spend time on the floor working alongside your team while ensuring jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support a team of fabrication employees throughout the day.
- Assign daily work based on production priorities and project schedules.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication documents.
- Coordinate cutting, machining, assembly, staging, and quality inspections.
- Ensure completed materials are properly identified, bundled, and prepared for delivery.
- Work closely with the Plant Manager to meet production goals.
- Train new employees and help experienced employees continue developing their skills.
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication area.
- Hold yourself and your team accountable for quality, productivity, and safety.
- Jump in and help fabricate when production demands it.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience.
- Leadership experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Experience reading blueprints or shop drawings.
- Strong understanding of measuring, layout, fabrication, and quality control.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions.
- Comfortable leading by example rather than managing from behind a desk.
- Dependable with excellent communication skills.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
