Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires expertise in various dental practices, including assisting with surgical procedures.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring all necessary instruments are readily available.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
- Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate medical documentation for each patient.
- Perform X-ray imaging and assist with medical imaging tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide comfort during treatments.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Assist in managing medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required, with specific experience in chairside assisting during surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology and ability to navigate medical documentation processes effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
