American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel contract in Tucson, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and Cerner proficiency at a Trauma Level III facility.

Work in the Emergency Services department of a 38-bed Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving facility in Tucson, AZ

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)

Cerner EMR experience is required

Willingness to float is required
-
13-week contract

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the start date

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is recommended but not required

Charge nurse experience preferred

Valid driver's license required

US Social Security Number required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

Responsible for providing emergency nursing care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the ED

Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel

Black scrubs required

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
