In this role, you’ll help install conveyor systems in real warehouses across the country. At the end of a project you can stand back and see what your team built.

Job Summary
We are seeking a mechanically inclined person to join our team in constructing conveyor and equipment throughout the easter US.
We have found that people with prior experience in handy man work, auto mechanic work, mechanical work, construction work, or electrical work do well in this industry. Inexperienced people also do well if they pay attention to detail and can work in a systematic manner.
Time on projects
The company is small, so we are not busy all year. Currently about half the days of the year (189 days) are on projects. About 154 days are travel out of town and 35 days are projects near Atlanta.
Time at Home
The other 176 days of the year we are not on projects. During “down time” there may be time to work on projects on the owner’s property, learn skills (e.g. welding), but mainly a lot of off time at home. You can do other handyman work on the side if it does not interfere with our project schedule.
Length of Projects
Most projects are within a 12hr drive of Georgia or within 1.5hrs of Atlanta. Projects are normally 1 - 4 weeks long. When on a project we work 60hrs per week (10hours Monday - Saturday).
Plan for Growth
The owner currently provides significant manpower on projects. The goal is for the owner to get out of the field to focus on sales and quoting. Expect to have less time off at home as the company grows.
Future Earning Potential
We pay you as a 1099 subcontractor.

- Reduce mistakes and rework, improve efficiency (time on projects is tracked)

- Help train and support other technicians
- Solve problems and improve processes (suggest better tools or methods to work efficiently)
- Take care of tools and prevent material waste. Keep vehicles and equipment organized.
- Be reliable. Be on time, follow through on commitments, communicate early when problems arise.
Duties
- Mechanically install conveyor and equipment in warehouses
- Install air pipe and compressors for some systems
- Drive a forklift
- Own hand tools and power tools.
Skills
- Use hand tools, powered tools, and machinery (e.g. forklift, scissor lift)
- Have some experience with hardware, bolts, nuts, assembling, disassembling things
- Read a tape measure
- Be good at math
- Preferred that you have some auto mechanic experience, even working on your own vehicle
- Preferred that you have experience in fixing things, even appliances around your own house.
Pay: $37,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
