Job Description
Kudzu Staffing is hiring General Laborers to support water and wastewater construction crews. This position involves hands-on work on utility construction projects, including water lines, sewer systems, pipelines, earthwork, concrete, and related site work.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, helping crews with daily job site tasks, and following safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist crews with water, sewer, and utility construction work
- Help with digging, trenching, shoveling, grading, backfilling, and site cleanup
- Carry materials, tools, pipe, and equipment as needed
- Assist equipment operators, pipe crews, supervisors, and other team members
- Help set up and maintain safe work areas
- Perform general construction labor on active job sites
- Follow company safety rules and job site procedures
- Be willing to learn utility construction methods and grow with the company
Requirements
- Previous construction or general labor experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Utility, pipe, grading, concrete, or sitework experience is a plus
- Must be dependable and able to report to work on time
- Must be able to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing job site conditions
- Must be able to lift, carry, bend, shovel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Must be able to follow directions and work well with a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screening
