Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Overhead Crane Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of overhead cranes and related lifting equipment within an Industrial facility. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy lifting systems, supporting production continuity and safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting systems to ensure optimal safety and performance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults in electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage circuits.
- Repair or replace components such as motors, brakes, gears, switches, relays, sensors, and control panels to restore equipment functionality.
- Utilize software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future inspections.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex equipment repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Collaborate with teams on troubleshooting complex issues and assist in the installation of new overhead crane systems or upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by following lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance activities and conducting safety audits regularly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with overhead crane systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills including electrical system analysis and schematic reading.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting involving electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with industrial electrician practices is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding ( welding preferred), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and equipment repair techniques.
- Experience operating field service tools such as scissor lifts or similar access equipment safely.
- Knowledge of Inspect-All software for Inspections and maintenance management; experience with analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues is a plus.
- Excellent customer service mindset with strong communication skills in English; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid certifications in electrical diagnostics, industrial mechanic work, or related fields are advantageous; relevant licenses or training in OSHA standards are preferred.

Pay: $27.59 - $38.00 per hour
