Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload household or commercial items using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Pack items securely using boxes, wrapping materials, and protective padding to prevent damage during transit
- Operate commercial vehicles like box trucks or <PERSON> drivers for route driving and delivery tasks
- Assist customers with loading and unloading their belongings, providing excellent customer service throughout the process
- Maintain organization of packing supplies and ensure all items are properly labeled for easy identification during delivery or unpacking
- Follow safety protocols including heavy lifting procedures, forklift operation, manual transmission driving, and route driving best practices
- Collaborate with team members to load, transport, and unload items efficiently while adhering to schedules
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse work, moving services, or delivery driving is highly preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles; commercial driving certification is a plus
- Experience with driving manual transmission vehicles and route driving logistics
- Familiarity with equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other loading tools is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, carry, and move items throughout the workday
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse environments
