Kinsmen Brewing is looking for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Bar Lead to help take our beverage program and guest experience to the next level. We aren't just another bar. We are a busy, growing Connecticut brewery that manufactures premium craft beer, hosts large-scale events, live entertainment, private functions, and delivers a unique guest experience every single day. We use the best ingredients to create exceptional products and expect that same level of excellence behind the bar. This position comes with increased hourly compensation in exchange for increased responsibility, leadership, and involvement in daily operations.
What You'll Do
As Bar Lead, you'll be a key member of our leadership team and help drive both our beverage program and front-of-house operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the bar team during high-volume service
- Creating synergy between our craft beer program and cocktail offerings
- Elevating our cocktail and beverage menu through creativity, quality ingredients, and execution
- Delegating responsibilities and directing staff during busy shifts
- Communicating closely with management and event coordinators regarding nightly events and operations
- Ensuring exceptional guest experiences and premium service standards
- Managing weekly inventory and ordering needs
- Creating and managing staff schedules
- Assisting with staff training and development
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational standards throughout the bar
- Helping solve problems quickly and effectively during service

- Has mixology and cocktail program experience
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Can confidently lead a team and make decisions under pressure
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Has strong communication and leadership skills Is proactive, energetic, and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Understands hospitality, guest experience, and team culture
- Wants to grow with an expanding company
Schedule
We believe great leaders perform best when they have a schedule that works for them. This position offers flexibility, and we'll work with the right candidate to build their ideal schedule.
Requirements include:
- Availability on Friday nights
- Availability on Saturday nights
- Rotating or floating Sunday shifts as needed
