Kitchenette is looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook / Cook to join our daytime kitchen team. This is a great position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in quality food, and wants a consistent daytime schedule with evenings off.
Our kitchen team receives an equal share of cash tips, typically ranging from $40–$115 per day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep according to recipes and standards
- Cook and execute menu items accurately and consistently
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch service
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, and sanitation standards
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating products
- Communicate with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities
- Help wherever needed and contribute to a positive, team-focused kitchen
What We're Looking For
- Prep cook or line cook experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right person
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong attention to food quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Able to follow recipes and direction
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- California Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain one
