Field Service Engineer I

Your primary role will be to provide technical support for our on-site piloting/testing and start-up services at water and wastewater treatment facilities throughout the USA.

Daily tasks will involve:
o Running pilot tests, to include:
o Set up, and operation of industry leading process equipment
o Adjusting process equipment to optimize results
o Calibrating field laboratory equipment
o Measuring and recording outcomes of trial runs
o Results analysis and report writing
o Laboratory testing and analysis work
o Commissioning installations of new equipment
Extensive Travel will be part of this job. You will be based out of our Rosedale, MD office, but it is anticipated that you will spend up to 3 weeks a month on the road traveling throughout the U.S. each week. (Generally, Monday thru Friday)).
This job involves hands on work, located predominantly in industrial or municipal wastewater or water treatment facilities when in the field.
Key performance indicators for this job will be:
· Ability to independently manage personal scheduling and travel to accommodate customer needs, site requirements and internal documentation.
· Generating required documentation (i.e., data and reports) in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and minimal corrections required.
· Developing a rapport with customers and other stakeholders in the field and presenting PWTech in the best possible light.
· A high level of proficiency in written/spoken English, and a high level of computer literacy utilizing Word, Excel, Outlook.
Requirements:
The following requirements are MANDATORY:
· A STEM degree with preference given to engineering, biology, chemistry or related.
· Laboratory experience. (College level lab classes)
· A current USA Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
· The ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
· The ability to travel 80% of the time, 12 months per year.
The following experience/skills are highly relevant to this job but not required:
· Mechanical aptitude- interest in hands on experience with process equipment.
· Experience in the water or wastewater industry and/or knowledge of water treatment chemistry, microbiology, and modern water and wastewater treatment processes
· Practical trade skills, including any mechanical/plumbing/electrical experience
