Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient treatment plans and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, advanced knowledge of dental treatment, excellent communication abilities, ability to read dental xrays, and a background in dental treatment planning and clinical care. The Treatment Coordinator should be very familiar with PPO insurance plans, copayments and communicating treatment plans to patients
Responsibilities
- Explaing dental treatment plans to the patients
- Sending prior authorizations and calculating co-payments
- Schedule appointments and fulling explaining the reason for the treatment and potential consequences of delaying care.
- Assist patients with understanding their treatment options and financial responsibilities.
- Handle clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
- Process medical billing and coding accurately, ensuring compliance with Medicare and other insurance requirements.
- Manage medical collections, updating patient accounts, taking payment.
- Using Open Dental Sotware to manage patient accounts
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the overall patient experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office. Must know how to explain dental treatments. Dental assisting background a plus. Sales experience preferred.
- Familiarity with dental billing, coding, and collections processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
