Job Summary

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively and safely
- Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Manage case documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical records and progress notes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans, medication management (psychopharmacology), and clinical research initiatives
- Facilitate intake procedures, patient education, and follow-up care through telehealth or in-person visits to ensure continuity of care
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, crisis management, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and social work practices
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation
- Expertise in working with diverse populations including children, individuals with disabilities or chronic pain conditions, and those experiencing PTSD or gender issues counseling
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using standardized tools and conduct data collection for clinical research projects
- Skilled in behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis for working with individuals with autism or developmental delays
- Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills for engaging patients in individual or group therapy sessions within outpatient or inpatient settings
