Overview
Seeking a creative individual with a landscape design related degree or background, who is extremely organized, self-motivated, and passionate about the landscaping industry. A knowledge of horticulture, plant materials, and landscape design theory a plus.
Qualifications:
- Excellent creative skills and ability to translate customer requirements into design.
- Organized and detail oriented. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of landscape design.
- Knowledge of natural and environmental characteristics of the site to include soils, topography, drainage, and vegetation specifically for the Bryan-College Station area.
- Knowledge of trees and ornamental plant material specifically for the Bryan-College Station area.
- Basic knowledge of proper maintenance and care techniques for specific plants.
- Proficiency in design software, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive (Knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign is a plus).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read, write and understand construction drawings, design documents, and plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Impeccable manners and commitment to quality. Must be punctual and maintain a professional appearance.
- Basic knowledge of project estimation.
