Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Day Shift
Schedule: Full-Time | 12-hour shifts | Rotating weekends
Compensation: $30.00 – $35.00/hr. + Weekend Differential: + $1.00/hr.
Centurion Health partners with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral healthcare services to individuals in custody. Our teams operate in structured, secure environments focused on consistency, safety, and quality patient care.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Hancock State Prison provides direct patient care and supports daily clinical operations within a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment. This role is well-suited for a nurse who values routine, teamwork, and delivering consistent care in a structured setting.
Provide direct nursing care within scope of practice
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to RN or provider
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Assist with intake, sick call, and chronic care clinics
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
Follow all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies
Qualifications (Required)
Active LPN license in Georgia or compact license (must be in good standing)
Current CPR certification (must be active)
Experience in one or more of the following preferred: Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, or Correctional Healthcare
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a structured environment
