About the Role
SMC Packaging is seeking a reliable and safety-focused 3rd Shift Shuttle Driver to support overnight transport of product, trailers, and finished goods between our facilities. This position plays a key role in keeping our production and shipping operations running smoothly.
Hours
- Sunday 9pm-5am
- Monday thru Thursday 11pm - 5am
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a yard truck or shuttle truck to move trailers between docks, loading areas, and designated locations
- Assist with trailer spotting and staging to support production and shipping schedules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate movement logs and follow all safety and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with shipping, and receiving teams
- Ensure trailers are secured, chocked, and positioned correctly
- Support additional warehouse or yard tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Previous experience in shuttle/yard spotter operations or commercial driving preferred
- Ability to safely maneuver tractors and trailers in tight spaces
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Have a High school Diploma or Equivalent
