OneSparQ is looking for Materials Project Manager in Cheyenne, WY.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage small to mid-sized projects from planning through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment
- Lead and mentor a team of 5+ field technicians through daily meetings, site check-ins, and ongoing performance support
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and general contractors throughout all phases of project execution to maintain strong working relationships
- Prepare proposals, bid on contracts, and support business development efforts to secure new projects
- Develop project plans, assign priorities, and allocate resources to meet deadlines and milestones
- Monitor project budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and collections in partnership with accounting
- Conduct regular site visits using company-provided vehicles, with occasional overnight travel as needed
- Identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize delays and maintain project efficiency
- Lead safety initiatives, enforce compliance, and promote pre-task planning across all project activities
- Maintain quality control standards and continuous improvement practices throughout project lifecycles
- Prepare and deliver project reports, updates, and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Materials and/or Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Experience managing project budgets, preconstruction planning, proposals, quantity takeoffs, and financial oversight from RFP through project completion.
- Strong communication skills, including experience interacting directly with clients.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Skills:
- Proven leadership experience, including managing or leading direct reports.
- International Code Council (ICC) certifications preferred.
- Prior project management experience.
- Professional licensure or certification such as Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other relevant credentials aligned with the services and projects being managed.
