Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fine dining or hospitality setting, providing memorable service to our guests while showcasing your skills in food handling, guest relations, and sales.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting tables for new guests
- Manage cash handling accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide guest relations support by addressing questions or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively through sales techniques like suggestive selling
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Previous experience in host/host roles, bussing, or nightclub service is a plus
- Food industry knowledge including food preparation, serving, and guest relations is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in nightlife or entertainment venues is beneficial
