We are currently seeking job applications for our 7 Foot Farm Angus beef operation. If you are looking for a full-time or part-time career working with beef animals and farming, we invite you to apply.
In our pastures, we raise registered Angus cattle. In our feedlots, we feed out steers and heifers from a variety of local sources. Our cattle are fed TMR rations, tagged, and monitored in our custom database. Most importantly, our people closely watch animal health and monitor feed bunks, handling all livestock with a deep sense of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Use of AI breeding and bull selection
- Record keeping and maintenance
- Cow/calf purebred beef procedures
- Feeding, including determining feed rations and the process of feeding cattle
- Vaccinations and processing, including the reasoning, selection, and timing of vaccinations
- Active participation in production activities of assigned areas
- Performing quality checks to ensure work meets 7 Foot standards
- Accurately recording and documenting required cattle and production information
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid current state driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate farm equipment (tractor, skid steer, feed wagon, manure spreader, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn and follow safe working practices in all aspects of cattle and farm production
- Ability to follow procedures in the form of both written and verbal instruction
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
