Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS system (TOAST) to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, give correct change, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and utensils as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold health regulations and ensure food safety at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support overall café operations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus.
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is beneficial.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
