Great hotel security is about more than watching cameras or walking the property. It’s about being present, paying attention, knowing when to act, and treating every guest and associate with respect.
We’re looking for an On-Call Security Guard to join our team and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone who enters our hotel.
This is a great opportunity for someone dependable, observant, and level-headed who enjoys a role where every shift can be different.
As a member of our Security team, you’ll serve as both a protector and a guest-service ambassador, helping prevent problems before they happen and responding calmly and professionally when situations arise.
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the hotel's interior and perimeter.
- Stay alert for potential security risks, safety hazards, suspicious activity, or undesirable conditions.
- Monitor hotel areas and security systems for unusual or concerning activity.
- Respond promptly to security telephone and safety hotline calls based on priority.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members using two-way radios.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire, safety hazards, disturbances, and threats to guests, associates, or property.
- Maintain order while handling challenging situations with a calm, rational, and professional approach.
- Assist guests with security-related concerns, including door lock issues when needed.
- Observe individuals entering, exiting, or loitering around the property and report suspicious activity appropriately.
- Become familiar with the hotel layout, function spaces, life-safety systems, alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinkler locations.
- Promote safe work practices throughout the hotel.
- Support hotel associates and other departments when needed.
- Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect in every guest and associate interaction.
- Complete other security-related duties as assigned.
The role requires regular walking and standing throughout the shift, including navigating stairs and different areas of the property. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical duties such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and moving equipment or items when necessary.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and reliable — someone we can count on when coverage is needed.
- Observant and alert — you notice the details others may overlook.
- Calm under pressure — you can respond to unexpected situations without losing your composure.
- Guest-focused — you understand that security and hospitality go hand in hand.
- Professional and respectful — you treat everyone with courtesy, regardless of the situation.
- A strong communicator — you can clearly communicate information to guests, associates, and supervisors.
- A team player — you’re willing to pitch in and help your coworkers.
- Adaptable — you’re comfortable learning hotel procedures and responding to changing situations.
- Safety-minded — you take potential hazards and security concerns seriously.
The position requires the ability to communicate in English, maintain a professional appearance and manner, work throughout the property, and remain physically active during the shift.
If you’re looking for a role where your presence truly matters, this is it.
Every shift gives you an opportunity to help someone—whether that's assisting a guest, identifying a potential safety issue, helping a coworker, responding to an emergency, or simply making someone feel safer and more comfortable during their stay.
As an On-Call Security Guard, you’ll become an important part of the hotel team while gaining valuable experience in hospitality, security, emergency response, guest relations, and problem-solving.
We value people who show up, stay alert, work together, and take pride in doing the right thing.
You might be a great fit if people describe you as:
Reliable. Calm. Observant. Professional. Helpful.
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. You need to be someone who can stay composed, pay attention, communicate clearly, and step up when it matters.
If you’re looking for flexible on-call work and want to be part of a team that takes safety, hospitality, and teamwork seriously, we want to hear from you.
Bring your professionalism. Bring your awareness. Bring your willingness to help.
Apply today and become someone our guests and team can count on.
