Our established private optometry practice is seeking a professional, experienced Optician to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are looking for an individual who shares our dedication to outstanding service and quality eyewear.
ABO Certification is preferred; however, candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience as an optician will also be considered.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist patients with selecting frames and lenses that best meet their visual needs, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and the latest optical technology.
- Process and complete all optical orders accurately and efficiently.
- Edge lenses and perform quality inspections prior to dispensing.
- Receive, verify, and check in laboratory orders for accuracy.
- Dispense eyewear and perform adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs.
- Support the front desk and other areas of the practice as needed to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications
- ABO Certification preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an optical setting considered in lieu of certification.
- Strong knowledge of frame styling, lens products, lens measurements, and edging.
- Experience working with major vision insurance plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, flexible, and committed to providing outstanding patient care.
- Stable employment history.
