We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the on-site construction process.
Job/Candidate Description:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with a diverse subcontractor base, have strong supervisory and superior motivational skills. The candidate should be familiar with all types of construction (i.e. ground up, tenant fit-up, restaurant, historic, etc…), as well as be proficient with interpreting drawings and specifications. Finally, self-motivation, excellent written/oral communication, professional appearance, and familiarity with MS Office programs are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
· Support Site Superintendent and Project Manager in day to day jobsite supervisory tasks.
· Lead small groups of in house workers or subcontractors in performance of construction activities.
· Self perform hand on tasks as directed by Site Superintendent.
· Growth oriented position with the intention of moving into Site Superintendent role.
· Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner.
· Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure performance and scheduled milestones are met.
· Perform routine quality control inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans/specifications.
· Promote jobsite safety and safe work practices, maintain a clean site, rectify job site hazards immediately, conduct tool box safety meetings.
· Identify and report critical issues to the PM/Site Superintendent promptly.
· Work the hours necessary to achieve the best results within the given time constraints of the construction schedule.
Requirements:
· Experience – 3 - 5 years of commercial construction supervision.
· Safety – OSHA 10 minimum (OSHA 30 ideal).
· Understanding/knowledge of NC building codes.
· Communication and problem solving skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
