Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, product information, and store inquiries
- Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Manage the cash drawer accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Upsell products and promote store specials or new merchandise through engaging product demos and friendly communication
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive store layout
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to enhance customer understanding and encourage sales
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Previous supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service aptitude
- Ability to perform retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and stock management
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and performing retail math calculations confidently
