LPN(Licensed Practical Nurse) Job description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement discharge plans for patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including mobility and lifting.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their healthcare needs.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of Mississippi.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Point Click Care.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
