Responsibilities
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and baked goods with intricate designs, frosting, fondant, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications and presentation standards
- Prepare cakes and pastries by following recipes accurately, ensuring consistency in flavor and appearance
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Package finished products carefully for delivery or display, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, assembling baked goods, and supporting high-volume production needs
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers about their orders and offering product recommendations when appropriate
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or restaurant setting
- Strong skills in food handling, baking, cooking, and operating kitchen equipment safely
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining creativity in decoration techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in pastry preparation methods
- Experience with high-volume production environments is preferred
