Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Evening shift
About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Bus Service Technician, where your skills will ensure the seamless operation of our bus fleet. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to daily bus maintenance, fuel operations, and vehicle inspections. Your efforts will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of service and vehicle readiness. CDL REQUIRED
Key Responsibilities:
- Fueling & Servicing: Efficiently fuel and service buses, ensuring readiness for daily operations. Prepare and secure service bays for optimal workflow.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough Driver Pre-Trip/IAA inspections. Monitor and adjust engine fluids, tire pressures, and document bus conditions using Fleetpro work orders.
- Cleanliness Maintenance: Uphold cleanliness standards for bus interiors and work areas, including the wash bay, in line with Fleetpro criteria.
- Coordination & Communication: Liaise with Dispatch and Supervisors to ensure fleet availability aligns with operational needs. Coordinate bus schedules and servicing efficiently.
- Administrative Tasks: Accurately complete Service Orders, manage the “Full Service” board, handle “Lost & Found” items, and maintain comprehensive reporting.
- Supply Management: Monitor and communicate supply needs, including HVAC filters, to ensure continuous availability.
- Special Projects: Support Supervisors with special projects and other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in diesel engine repair or mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Licensing: Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement required.
- Certification: Fleetpro Regulatory training certification is necessary.
- Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge, safety awareness, and effective communication skills.
