Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service at the counter, managing inventory, and supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and technical proficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the counter with product inquiries, order placement, and order fulfillment, and answering phones
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklift, pallet jack to load and unload materials)
- Stock shelves, organize materials, and ensure accurate order picking and packing for shipping & receiving
- Support shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading materials safely using appropriate equipment
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in warehouse distribution tasks, including materials handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting when necessary
- Support warehouse management activities including stock rotation, inventory audits, and safety protocol adherence
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and ensure efficient order fulfillment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards related to warehouse operations
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, order processing, and data entry tasks
- Technical proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and inventory management tools
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
