Duties
- Manage inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy within warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to facilitate sourcing, purchasing, and replenishment of stock items based on demand planning and category management strategies.
- Oversee shipping logistics including picking & packing, freight scheduling, and compliance with transportation safety regulations.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to plan routes, monitor freight movements, and optimize road transportation operations for cost efficiency.
- Supervise warehouse distribution activities such as materials handling, packaging, and order fulfillment while adhering to regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and manage dispatching to ensure timely delivery of goods across domestic and international markets.
- Analyze supply chain data using tools like supply chain analytics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or warehouse operations within a logistics company environment.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in ERP systems (such as AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), CMMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight procedures, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and international trade regulations.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely along with familiarity with materials handling equipment and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated team management capabilities with experience supervising warehouse staff or logistics teams.
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis related to demand planning, inventory forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards related to shipping logistics, transportation safety regulations, and customs procedures.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, internal teams, and customers on order status and delivery expectations.
