Position Specifics: Full Time (35 hours per week)
Starting Salary (6 month probationary period), $50,960 annually ($28/hour).
Continuing Salary (after probationary period), $58,240 annually ($30/hour).
Benefits: Vacation Days, Overtime at per hour pay (as approved by Executive Director),

Position Summary
The Director of Resident Care provides visionary leadership and operational oversight for all resident services and facilities maintenance at Agape House of Prescott. This part-time leadership role ensures that residents in our transitional housing program receive high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centered support that promotes housing stability, self-sufficiency, wellness, and successful transition to permanent housing.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in social services, preferably in transitional housing, homeless services, or residential programs
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and best practices
- Experience with HUD-funded programs, Continuum of Care (CoC), and grant reporting preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Direct and oversee all resident care and support services within the transitional housing program.
- Develop and implement resident care strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Ensure delivery of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strength-based services.
- Establish standards of care, policies, procedures, and best practices for resident services.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on outcomes and resident feedback.
Resident Services Management
- Oversee assessment, intake, service planning, case management, graduation, and post-graduation processes.
- Ensure residents receive individualized service plans addressing housing, employment, education, healthcare, mental health, and life-skills needs (including self-care).
- Monitor resident progress and implement timely interventions.
- Provide or coordinate crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mental/behavioral health referrals.
- Promote resident engagement, empowerment, and community-building activities.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate resident care staff, case mentors, volunteers, and facilities personnel (including overseeing hiring and dismissal of staff).
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure staff compliance with organizational policies, ethical standards, and licensing/funding requirements.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable ministry environment.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and funding agency regulations (including HIPAA where applicable).
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards.
- Monitor resident records for quality, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Participate in audits, inspections, accreditation reviews, and grant reporting.
- Track and analyze program performance indicators and outcomes.
Community Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, workforce development programs, educational institutions, and other community resources.
- Coordinate referrals and services supporting residents’ transition to independent living.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, coalitions, faith communities, and stakeholder events as needed.
Budget and Resource Management
- Oversee program budgeting and resource allocation.
- Monitor expenditures related to resident services and facilities maintenance/repairs.
- Identify grant opportunities, partnerships, and program enhancements.
- Ensure effective use of available resources and donations to maximize resident outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the critical role of safe, secure housing for families experiencing homelessness.
- Thorough knowledge of case management practices, community resources, and social service systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and use outcomes to drive continuous program improvement.
- Proficiency with electronic case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Passion for ministry and serving vulnerable populations.

Work Environment
- Combination of office, residential housing, and community-based settings.
- Occasional evenings, weekend, or on-call availability may be required.
