WE'RE EXPANDING!
The Shipping & Material Handling Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders, as well as supporting material movement to ensure on-time delivery and accurate order fulfillment. This role also serves as a primary backup to the Production Material Handling position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pull, stage, and prepare parts for shipment
- Package products according to company standards and written procedures
- Prepare trucks for daily deliveries and shipments
- Load and unload materials as needed
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely
- Drive a 25' box truck for deliveries and pickups as required
- Process shipments using UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager
- Assist in setting up and coordinating LTL shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate a 25' box truck
- Valid DOT medical card (health card) preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and documentation
- Intermediate computer skills (shipping software, ERP systems preferred)
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended period
