Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management.
- Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, toileting, handwashing, and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and learning materials regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that arise.
- Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric first aid guidelines, and mandated reporting laws when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities that support childhood development milestones and classroom management goals.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development instruction principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children effectively while fostering independence.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment.
- Ability to follow safety regulations including mandated reporting laws related to child welfare.
- Passion for caregiving, nurturing young learners, and supporting their growth through engaging activities such as toddler care or infant care.
