As an Intake or Consultation Attorney within the Civil Department and Holland Law Group, you will be responsible for providing high quality legal advice and services to our clients. This position serves as the initial point of contact for potential clients, conducting preliminary assessments of legal cases through phone consultations, gathering necessary information, and determining if the firm can represent the client, ultimately deciding whether to accept the case and transferring it to a dedicated legal team if appropriate; requiring strong communication skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to quickly evaluate potential claims. This position will also include the responsibility of managing and resolving a portfolio of cases after the clients retain the services of Holland Law Group.
Our main office is in Bradenton, Florida, but this position will be located in Florida
Key Responsibilities:
· Interview applicants over the telephone to provide potential clients with legal advice, discuss available services, and secure representation as appropriate.
· Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns, counsel, advise and refer them to appropriate to a dedicated legal team.
· Providing basic legal information and explaining potential legal options to
clients during the initial consultation.
· Develop and implement strategies to resolve cases favorably, by conducting thorough consultations to understand the facts of a case, identifying potential legal arguments, and assessing the viability of the claim.
· Collecting and documenting relevant client information including personal details, records, contracts, and other supporting documents
· Reviewing potential conflicts of interest to ensure the firm can ethically represent the client.
· Negotiate settlement of cases with opposing attorneys or parties.
· Prepare necessary correspondence relating to services rendered.
· Attend team meetings and collaborate with other attorneys on case questions.
· Represent clients in court and negotiate settlements
· Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions
· Maintaining detailed records of client interactions, case summaries, and intake forms within the firm's case management system.
· Maintaining regular contact with clients during the intake process, updating them on the status of their case, and addressing any concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish/English (Preferred)
- Previous experience with client-facing roles
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of ethical and professional conduct in law
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Juris Doctorate (JD), degree
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients

Salary: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 /year based on prior experience.
